MageCraft: A Hyvä online store without customization
Would you like to launch a Magento online store with Hyvä, but realize that a fully custom solution doesn’t fit your budget or current stage of development right now?
MageCraft is Factor Blue’s entry-level solution: a complete, pre-built Magento + Hyvä Commerce environment with a standard theme and an extensive suite of CMS components. Ready to go live quickly.
//01 — What is MageCraft?
A complete Magento store built by us to serve as a solid foundation.
MageCraft is neither a SaaS platform nor a website builder. It is a pre-built Magento Open Source environment on the Hyvä Commerce frontend, which Factor Blue has put together as a standard foundation for entrepreneurs who want to get started quickly and responsibly. We’ve already made the choices that every store has to make: theme, components, configuration, and hosting. You don’t have to make them all over again.
The MageCraft theme is professional, fast, and built on the Hyvä stack: Alpine.js, Tailwind CSS, with a 90+ Lighthouse score out of the box. The widget set covers the basic needs of a B2C online store: product pages, category overviews, search, homepage blocks, USP bars, banners, and checkout. Everything you need to get started is included. What’s not included is custom development—that’s a deliberate choice, not a limitation.
Your code belongs to you. MageCraft runs on open-source Magento, not on a platform where you’re at the mercy of a SaaS provider’s license terms. As you grow and need more, you can scale up.
Our work is supported by a strong network of technical partners, complemented by expertise in e-commerce and technology that we continuously develop and refine.

//01 — Who is MageCraft suitable for?
When is MageCraft not the right choice?
MageCraft is the right choice for you if you want to launch a B2C online store on a solid, fast, and manageable platform, without the investment required for a fully custom solution. It’s ideal for new online stores, entrepreneurs looking to switch from another e-commerce platform to Magento, or companies with a relatively simple product range and standard ordering process.
MageCraft is not suitable if you need complex integrations with your ERP, PIM, or WMS. It is not suitable if you have configurable products where customers make extensive selections, or if you need a separate B2B environment or customer-specific price lists. It’s also not suitable if you want a completely custom design that differs from the standard theme.
We’re not saying this to scare you off. We’re saying it because making the wrong choice now will cost you more than making the right choice right away. If you’re unsure whether MageCraft is right for your situation, request a demo.
Even if MageCraft isn’t the right fit, we’d be happy to help you with custom Magento development or with building high-quality Magento integrations for your online store.

//08 — Frequently Asked Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
about MageCraft
Frequently Asked Questions. Can’t find your question here? We’d be happy to answer it personally.
01. What is MageCraft?
MageCraft is Factor Blue’s standard Magento + Hyvä Commerce environment, designed as an entry-level solution for entrepreneurs who want to get started with Magento quickly and responsibly.
It is a pre-built environment featuring a professional standard theme, a comprehensive set of Hyvä components, and included management tools.
MageCraft runs on Magento Open Source with the Hyvä Commerce frontend open-source code—no SaaS lock-in.
The monthly price is €2,195, including hosting, management, and updates.
02. What type of online store is MageCraft suitable for?
MageCraft is suitable for B2C online stores with a relatively simple product range and standard ordering process. It’s ideal for new online stores, entrepreneurs switching from another platform to Magento, or companies that want to go live quickly without the costs and lead time of a custom development project.
MageCraft is not suitable for complex B2B environments, stores with extensive ERP or PIM integrations, or situations requiring a completely custom design.
03. Does MageCraft offer customization?
No. MageCraft was intentionally built without customization. The theme is customizable by default in terms of logo, colors, and text, but the underlying structure and templates are not modified.
The MageCraft Hyvä CMS component set offers flexibility in page layout, but the architecture is fixed.
This keeps costs low and the environment manageable. If you need customization, Factor Blue will build an online store tailored to your specifications from the ground up.
04. Is MageCraft also suitable as a B2B online store?
MageCraft is primarily built for B2C online stores. It does not support customer-specific price lists, company accounts, approval workflows, or fast B2B order entry.
For B2B online stores, Factor Blue builds tailored solutions. These projects are more complex and are set up as custom projects.
05. Can I later upgrade from MageCraft to a custom-built online store?
Yes. MageCraft runs on Magento Open Source; the code belongs to you and is not hosted on a closed platform. If you grow and need more than MageCraft offers, you can scale up to a fully custom Magento project with Factor Blue. That doesn’t mean you’re starting from scratch: the underlying Magento installation remains the same.
06. How quickly can I go live with MageCraft?
The MageCraft environment is technically ready. The time to go live depends on how quickly you provide your products, text, and images, and how the onboarding process goes. In most cases, a MageCraft store goes live within 8 to 12 weeks—significantly faster than a fully custom project, which takes an average of 3 to 6 months.
07. Is there a minimum contract term?
Yes, we develop your entire online store and invest our knowledge and expertise in it. The minimum contract term is therefore 24 months. After 24 months, the agreement can be terminated on an annual basis.
