We build, integrate, manage, and make smart use of AI. For online stores that have outgrown a standard agency. Magento specialists since 2010.
//01 — Why Factor Blue
Your Magento store is in good hands
There are many Magento agencies in the Netherlands. Most of them build what you ask for, send an invoice, and wait for the next request.
We don’t treat your online store, your data, and your trust as just another project—we treat them as a responsibility. That’s what we call ownership. That’s Factor Blue.

Not just a time-billing agency, but a partnership

//02 — Our Services
FOUR PILLARS, ONE PARTNER
Every online store is at a different stage, and every question deserves a specialist. Whether you want to build a site, integrate systems, outsource management, or implement AI, you’ll always work with the same team.
A PLATFORM THAT GROWS WITH YOU.
Your store is up and running, but you’re hitting its limits. Every new feature becomes a struggle, performance fluctuates, and every growth spurt feels like a risk. We build Magento online stores that can actually handle your growth, whether we’re starting from scratch or building on what’s already there. Designed so that future development means progress, not a headache.
ONE RELIABLE DATA STREAM.
You know exactly where things go wrong: data you have to enter manually, inventory that’s off, prices that are out of sync. Every missing integration costs you time and, worse yet, trust. We connect your online store, ERP, PIM, and CRM into a single reliable data stream and automate what’s currently done manually. No duplicate work, no data loss, no surprises.
TRUST YOUR PLATFORM, FOCUS ON YOUR BUSINESS.
You want to focus on sales, not lose sleep over updates, security, or that one bug at the worst possible moment. We’ll take your Magento platform off your hands and manage it proactively: securely, quickly, and up-to-date, with someone ready to step in when it really counts. You focus on your business; we’ll handle the technology behind it.
BEYOND THE HYPE, TOWARD MEASURABLE RESULTS.
AI holds a lot of promise, but you’re right to wonder what actually works for your store. We don’t build experiments just for the sake of experimenting; instead, we create solutions that make a measurable difference—such as agentic commerce. This way, you can boost your conversion rate today and be ready for the future of shopping.

//05 — FAQ
Practical Questions
The questions we get asked most often about our services, approach, and how we work together. Don’t see your question here? Feel free to ask—you’ll receive a personalized response.
01. What does Factor Blue excel at?
Factor Blue is a Dutch e-commerce agency specializing in complex Magento-based online stores.
Our services are based on four pillars: building and further developing online stores, integrating and automating systems (ERP, PIM, CRM), managing and maintaining platforms, and applying AI in e-commerce.
Factor Blue deliberately does not engage in marketing, branding, or campaigns. The agency focuses on technically complex online stores: large catalogs, B2B logic, and custom integrations.
02. Where is Factor Blue located, and which markets do you serve?
Factor Blue is based in Nijmegen and has its own development team in Serbia that has been part of the company for over ten years. They are permanent employees, not rotating freelancers, and everyone works in the same time zone. Factor Blue primarily works with online stores in Europe.
03. What sets Factor Blue apart from other Magento agencies?
As soon as a store goes live, we take ownership of the platform. That means: proactive management, security updates, performance monitoring, and support—all without you having to ask.
We identify issues before you even notice them. That’s not just a special service—it’s how we work.
We don’t just build based on individual requests. We actively monitor your platform and proactively make suggestions: what can be improved, what poses a risk, and what the next step should be.
And because we work on fixed-rate pricing, we share the same goal as you: a platform that runs smoothly, continues to grow, and never stands still.
04. Does Factor Blue offer remote development or dedicated tech teams?
Yes, at Factor Blue you can hire experienced Magento developers, either individually or as a fully dedicated team. The developers are permanent employees of Factor Blue and work remotely from Serbia, in the Dutch time zone and using the client’s workflow and tools.
This means you won’t be getting a freelancer who leaves after a few months, but rather a permanent colleague who gets to know the store better and better, without the risk and lead time associated with recruiting on your own.
05. Is Factor Blue suitable for both startups and enterprise e-commerce brands?
Factor Blue is suitable for both scale-ups and enterprise brands, as long as technical complexity is involved: large catalogs, B2B logic, ERP or PIM integrations, or custom development. The limiting factor isn’t company size, but complexity.
06. Can Factor Blue integrate Magento with ERP, CRM, or other business systems?
Yes. Factor Blue specializes in integrating Magento, among other platforms, with business systems such as ERP, PIM, CRM, and WMS. Common integrations include Magento with Exact Online, Microsoft Business Central, and PIM systems such as Akeneo.
Factor Blue is an Alumio partner and builds integrations using, among other things, the Alumio integration platform (iPaaS).
The result: a single, reliable data stream between the online store and the back office, with no manual data entry and no errors in inventory or pricing.
07. How does Factor Blue ensure long-term success after launch?
At Factor Blue, going live is the beginning of our partnership, not the end. After launch, an online store transitions to Managed Commerce: proactive management with fixed agreements regarding maintenance, security updates, performance monitoring, and support, all laid out in a contract.
As a result, issues are often identified and resolved before the customer even notices them.
In addition, Factor Blue works with an ongoing roadmap for each client: further development is carried out systematically, based on data and business goals, rather than through individual tickets.
Because Factor Blue works with fixed prices as much as possible, there’s no incentive to bill by the hour—instead, we share a common interest in a platform that runs smoothly and continues to grow.
08. Why should I choose Magento for my e-commerce project?
Magento is the most suitable e-commerce platform for online stores with complex requirements.
The main reasons to choose Magento: virtually unlimited customization thanks to its open-source foundation, robust B2B functionality (customer-specific pricing, quotes, order lists, multiple buyers per account), effortless management of large catalogs with tens of thousands of products, and multi-store capabilities: multiple stores, brands, countries, and languages from a single environment.
With a Hyvä front end, Magento is also among the fastest platforms on the market. And the platform remains yours: no vendor lock-in and no revenue-based licensing fees, unlike with SaaS platforms.
Let’s be honest: Magento isn’t for everyone. For a simple online store without customization or integrations, a SaaS platform is often more practical and cost-effective. Magento really pays off when things get complex, and that’s exactly the segment Factor Blue focuses on. Not sure if Magento is right for your situation? That’s a great question to ask during an initial consultation.
09. Can you take over my existing online store?
Yes, Factor Blue regularly takes over existing Magento online stores from other agencies or in-house teams. A takeover begins with a code and platform audit: we assess the quality of the code and any off-the-shelf or custom modules in use. Afterward, you’ll know exactly what condition your store is in and what’s needed to ensure its continued healthy development. A complete rebuild is rarely necessary; in most cases, we build upon what’s already in place. We manage the handover in a structured manner, including coordination with your current provider, so your store continues to run smoothly during the transition.
10. How much does it cost to develop a Magento online store?
A Magento online store typically costs between 25,000 and 75,000 euros, depending on its complexity. A B2B platform with custom development, integrations, and complex pricing logic usually costs between 50,000 and 150,000 euros or more.
The costs are primarily determined by four factors: the amount of customization (B2B logic, configurators, customer-specific pricing), the number of integrations with systems such as ERP and PIM, the size of the catalog and migration of existing data, and the complexity of the front end.
In addition, you should factor in monthly costs for hosting, maintenance, and ongoing development.
Factor Blue works with fixed prices as much as possible instead of hourly billing. After an initial consultation and a discovery phase, you’ll receive a concrete proposal with a fixed price and a clear scope, so you know exactly what to expect upfront.
