Hoogenboom Mode

Magento 2 increased sales for a 70 years old family business.

Hoogenboom is founded in 1953 and is one of the most known physical clothing stores for business-casual clothing in Nijmegen, The Netherlands.

Why Hoogenboom works with Factor Blue

As a result of building the new webshop on the Magento 2 platform, we recorded more than 3.000 online orders since the launch and our conversion increased. With a clean and nice working UX design and advanced search option with real-time feedback customers can quickly find desired products.

"By securing untroubled communication between Magento and the EasyPOS system, Factor Blue created a smooth flow that makes it easy to manage our assortment and online orders."

Meeting needs of both retailer and customer

The Factor Blue team created a Magento 2 webshop from scratch. The shop has more than 100.000 products in the catalog. Therefore, the target was to build a webshop that is user-friendly, responsive, and stable.

The internal system, EasyPOS, is a cash register system in physical shops. We connected it with the webshop through the API. The EasyPOS system has all the data that goes through the API to the Magento backend, including the stock data, shipping information, prices, and all other details. All these products that are stored needed to be split, filtered, and shown into different categories based on brands and gender. Placed orders are sent back to EasyPos.

With a clear working UX design, customers can easily and quickly find desired products of Hoogenboom.

Smooth checkout process with one-step-checkout

The intentions of Hoogenboom were to enhance customer experience and reduce the number of abandoned carts. In order to reach help them with that goal, we added a one-step checkout extension from Amasty, automatic address suggestions, and all the supported payment methods: iDeal, Klarna Pay Later, Credit Cards, and Bancontact. This variety, along with the customer-friendly checkout process, ensures increased conversion.

Signaling lights for closed or open shops

To show if the physical shop is open or closed, we created functionality that works as a signaling light. Building in this functionality was with the purpose to indicate. Hence, green lights turn on when stores are open, while red lights turn on when stores close.

Besides the regular working hours, our developers needed to include some exceptions in the code. Such exceptions are every first and last Sunday in a month, Public Holidays, etc.

It is easy to work with Factor Blue, they come with good suggestions and all communication goes fast and smooth. Especially the project management was of very high quality. We’re a very happy client.
