MageCraft: Magento + Hyvä for a fixed monthly fee

We’ve been building Magento online stores since 2010. Complex B2B environments, custom front ends, and extensive and complex integrations. But we were also increasingly getting requests from business owners who wanted to use Magento with Hyvä—people who know it’s the right platform but for whom a fully custom solution isn’t the right fit right now. It’s too big, too expensive, and involves too much uncertainty for the stage they’re at. MageCraft is the answer to this need.

What is MageCraft?

MageCraft is a pre-built Magento Open Source environment on the Hyvä Commerce frontend, developed by Factor Blue as a standard entry-level solution.

No SaaS platform, no website builder, no lock-in. Just Magento, on open-source code that belongs to you, with the Hyvä stack that loads three to five times faster than a standard Magento frontend.

We’ve already made the choices that come up with every new online store: the theme, the set of components, the hosting environment, the payment integration, and the monitoring. You don’t have to make them all over again.

You enter your products, we customize the theme to match your brand identity, and you go live.

The monthly price is €2,195. That covers everything: hosting on Hypernode, SSL, Mollie payment integration, the Hyvä CMS component library, security patches, Magento updates, and management by Factor Blue.

Why we’re building this

For a certain group of entrepreneurs, the barrier to entry for Magento was too high. Not because Magento is the wrong platform—quite the contrary. But a fully customized Magento project takes time, money, and requires a detailed briefing. For an entrepreneur who is just starting out, switching from another platform, or looking to launch their first serious online store, that barrier is too high.

At the same time, we noticed that many of these entrepreneurs ended up using Shopify, WooCommerce, or other platforms—platforms that are easy to use in the short term but clash with their ambitions in the medium term. Limited customization options, high transaction costs, and poor integration capabilities.

With MageCraft, we offer a third option: start on a robust platform with a solid technical foundation, without the complexity and costs of a fully custom solution. And as you grow and need more, you can scale up on the same Magento installation, with the same team.

Who is MageCraft intended for?

MageCraft is designed for B2C online stores with a relatively simple product range and a standard ordering process. Startup online stores that want to get off to a strong start right away. Entrepreneurs switching from Shopify, WooCommerce, or another platform to Magento. Companies that want to go live quickly—within four to six weeks—without investing months in a custom development project.

MageCraft isn’t for everyone. Complex B2B environments, extensive ERP integrations, and completely custom designs—MageCraft isn’t built for those scenarios. For those needs, Factor Blue builds a custom Magento B2C web store or a custom Magento B2B web store tailored to the specific situation from the very beginning. We’re honest about what MageCraft can and cannot do, because making the wrong choice now will cost more than making the right choice right away.

What’s included?

MageCraft is a complete environment, ready to be populated and launched. The Hyvä Commerce frontend—including the theme, checkout, CMS, and admin theme—delivers a fast, modern shopping experience with a Lighthouse score of 90+ right out of the box.

The custom component library we’ve created covers the basic needs of a B2C online store: product pages, category overviews, search functionality, homepage blocks, USP bars, banners, and checkout. Everything you need to get started is right there.

Hosting, SSL, and monitoring are included through Hypernode, Factor Blue’s Magento-optimized hosting partner. Mollie payment integration is included as standard.

Factor Blue manages the technical side: security patches are installed as soon as Adobe releases them, and Magento updates are tested and implemented in a coordinated manner.

The code belongs to you. Open source, no platform lock-in, and no monthly license fees on top of the monthly price.
